Blanco Mustano was born at Return to Freedom. His family was saved from slaughter, captured on a Navajo Reservation in New Mexico. Negro Mustano is a Cerbat stallion, one of only about 70 in America today. Wild caught when he wandered off of his range and broke into a neighboring ranch, taking several mares back into the hills with him. Both Mustangs will live a life of freedom, roaming the hills at Return to Freedom. Printed on 100-lb acid free paper, barn yard wood framed prints measure approximately 21"W x 15"H.

Return to Freedom, The American Wild Horse Sanctuary provides a safe haven to nearly 200 wild horses and burros. Kimerlee Curyl has been photographing wild horses at Return To Freedom sanctuary since 2004. As seen in these photos, she has been able to integrate herself into their environment, capturing moments which define their unique and individual personalities.
